Trying to bust out a book of my fav comic ladies for a con in September. I've never drawn most of these ladies so it's pretty fun! I've got 14 of the 18 pictures I wanna make so far and moving steadily along.

Wanted to try Wonder Woman. In my heart I wish she was 50% more ribbons and girly things and I love when she has a cape on.

I'm inking this in PS with the lasso tool because I find it amazingly mind numbingly engaging to do it that way and I love robot tasks.

I wibbled back and forth on what version of her costume to make, then just sort of made one out of all her different costumes. Earrings and black + pink planet symbol from the cartoon, thigh high whiteness and armness and cape from the (now old but was-) current-ish thing (that Manapul drew), shoulderish area and black line around the white from the Three Worlds thing. Not that anyone cares!

This might be all I get done for ECCC, but seems good enough. Moving next week!

Pixie from X-men-ness is one of my favorite characters. She's so freaking cute (especially when Skottie Young drew her- loved her puff hair and cute face!). I think this one was the funnest to draw so far. In my heart I love pink and sparkles and super girl things x 10000 so so so much. I should draw stuff like this more often!

I love this awesome day off combined with done with S.T.O.P. comic for the moment! I got so many things drawn! Just sort of fluffy stuff for fun, but still it felt great!

Here's a Supergirl! I was trying to make her more cute then sexy. I love cute Supergirl, not so much sexy Supergirl.

I wanna try a Saturn Girl, Batgirl, and Pixie (sorry under represented Marvel there ha!) too.

Now that we got the first Issue of S.T.O.P. done, I got some time to actually draw stuff I wanna/need to draw!

Whooop! Me and vv finally finished the first issue of S.T.O.P.! We were getting all the pages in order till, like, 4am Friday night, and finally we're done!

Check out the cover process! vv penciled, I clothed and inked (added Cauf into the bg in the computer), and then I colored:

Man, I am working through these SO slow. I'll get there!!

This time I got to play with fydbac's awesome stuff! I wanted to try a little more then just solid shadows so there's some simple contour liney things going on. Not sure if I did it well but at least got comfortable enough to do it! This character sheet looked so cool! I was so stoked to try and ink it! Used Zebra brush pen and uniball signo bit .18 mostly.

edit: I hate posting images huge but I guess you can't even see the sorta line I was talking about there 'cause I barely did it and it's pretty small so here's a bigger version of the end result: BIGGER VERSION

This time it's fooray's awesome line work. He doesn't even need inks! His pencils are crazy clean!! So the first thing here is his pencils, the second is my first pass at inks which look useless and slightly inferior to his pencils, then I decided to go buck wild and mess with some fatter dark shadows 'cause I'm super weak there. I'm reasonably pleased I didn't destroy it in the end, but still think his pencils look better XD Zebra brush pen, micron brush pen, micron 02 and 05.

Second try! This time on something by save-the-day. I love the pencils for this so much! I feel like I sorta blah'd the skirt up a bit, but got used to the pattern by the time I did the bow. And the pencils seemed to have more character. This was super fun to try though and I'm happy with it! Used Zebra brush pen and micron 02 and 05.

Trying to work out some alien royalty concepts for Stop stuff (also known as playing and ignoring the other million things I'm supposed to be working on).

Super tiny because I drew them super tiny and if I try to make them big on the computer they look especially crappy. I wanna do, like, a trillion more of these because I hate most of these so I figure if I make a million I can choose 5 I like and will use~

Well, it's no small secret if you know me in rl that I have a bit of an obsession with the Legion of Superheroes (like I have a nerd ass podcast about them with vv *neeeerd*) I don't post a lot of shit I draw of them 'cause I don't tend to post fanart, but since I have a horde of sketches, I thought I'd post some so here they are:

Lots of Brainiac 5 who I love (comic and cartoon version- though I blow at drawing him coherently no matter which version of him I try), a handful of Dream Girl, a Kid Quantum, a Saturn Girl (who I totally can't even almost draw), a little Invisible Kid and a little Drax.

Worked all weekend- which is boo- but got a lot of stuff done which is great 'cause now it's out of the way.

Saw Max Payne...SO BAD. Like...HOLY SHIT. Ok, I have SUPER low standards for action movies. Shoot some guns, punch some people in the face, and I am thrilled. Somehow...SOMEHOW Max Payne took guns + drugs + slow motion + conspiracy = SO MUCH SHIT. Man, how do you get shooting things SO wrong uhg uhg.

Started watching Torchwood. It's fucking brilliant and surprisingly violent.

And now some sketches:

Kitri from comic thing me and vv are doing on the left- trying to decide what markings she has (trying to go for poisonous frog looking), next Yaya and Kane in Halloween gear (vv's doing 24 hour comic thing today so I stole the cute costumes she drew in her comic), and lastly Cauf again. I need to draw more!!!

This cool color test thing that sorta makes your eyes bleed and is currently making veryvery try to kill herself because she doesn't like her score. I got perfect which makes me the master of dull, muted colors. I haven't really done anything today so I'll consider this a productive moment.

Gonna try to use this thing and LJ consecutively to post some art regularly. Feels like I might make myself draw more or something if I know I have two places sitting sadly waiting for art~

First post here isn't that new, but since I made the blog with him on it, I'll post the process image of Cauf- a dude from a comic me and veryvery are working on- that I used as this blogs header, and also a study in clothing I did for him.
